Unlock · In your browser

The lock is yours to remove.

Falcon Unlock is a PDF unlocking tool that strips owner-set restrictions (print, copy, edit blocks) from a PDF you legally own. The file is unlocked on your computer, in this browser tab; the original encrypted file is not sent anywhere.

The locked PDF opens in this tab. Restrictions are stripped on your computer; the unlocked file lands where the original started. By design.

Browser-only · no upload · Updated 2026-05-28

Falcon Unlock is for documents you legally own. Removing restrictions on copyright-protected material you do not own may breach the copyright holder’s licence terms. We do not check ownership — that is your responsibility.

Why this tool exists

Most online unlockers ask you to upload a locked PDF, then return an unlocked one minutes later. In the seconds between, that PDF — your PDF — sits decrypted on a server you do not own. The lock you trusted, removed by someone else, on a copy you did not authorise to exist.

Unlocking on your own computer keeps the asymmetry where it belongs. The locked file opens here. The owner password, if there is one, never leaves the form field. The unlocked output is written in this tab, downloaded by you, gone from memory the moment you close the page.

FAQ

Common questions

Does my locked PDF leave my device to be unlocked?

No. The file opens in this browser tab and the password is removed on your computer. For a document protected enough to need unlocking, that matters — it is never uploaded, so it cannot be held anywhere else.

Do I need to know the password to unlock the file?

Yes. You supply the password you already have, and the tool removes it. This is for files you are entitled to open — it removes a known password; it is not a tool for getting into documents that are not yours.

Can you recover a password I have forgotten?

No. The tool removes a password you provide; it cannot break or guess one you do not have. A forgotten open-password cannot be recovered here.

Is the rest of the document unchanged after unlocking?

Yes. Only the password is removed — the pages, text, and formatting are left exactly as they were. You get the same document, without the prompt to enter a password.

How your file stays private

No upload

Opens, parses, rewrites on your device. Nothing about the contents transits a Falcon server.

Zero logs

No filenames, sizes, contents, or per-file telemetry. Operation counts only.

No trackers

Open the Network tab during use. Only first-party JS appears in the request log.

Metadata stripped

Authors, edit history, EXIF, and embedded thumbnails are removed alongside the visible content.
